It doesn't let go

Strong magnets, and they hold properly — potholes, speed bumps, hard cornering, the state of most B-roads round here. Your phone stays where you put it.

The vent clip grips behind the blade rather than pinching the front edge, so it doesn't sag over time or mark your trim.

Being straight about cases

This charges through the back of your phone, and that only works through about 5mm.

A slim or medium case is fine. A very thick case, a wallet case with cards in it, or a metal ring or PopSocket on the back will stop it working — the charging can't reach through.

• If your phone isn't magnetic, use the metal ring supplied. Stick it to the back of the phone or under the case and it'll snap on like any other.
• iPhone 12 and newer already have magnets built in — nothing to add.

If you run a thick case and don't want to change it, our auto-clamping holder charges from the bottom instead and doesn't care how thick your case is. Different product, same problem solved.

Small print worth knowing

Runs from any car charger with the cable supplied — a fast-charging socket adapter will get you the full speed.

Built-in protection against overcharging, overcurrent and overvoltage, so leaving it plugged in isn't a worry.

In black or white

Both finishes are plain and low-key — the sort of thing that looks like it came with the car rather than bolted on afterwards.
